Branson, MO is a top destination to visit year-round, but there’s nothing quite like being there during the holidays. Silver Dollar City’s annual Branson Christmas Festival creates the perfect setting to celebrate the season to its fullest.
Attractions
An Old Time Christmas Festival features a five-story Christmas tree that has over 350,000 LED lights. It has special light and sound effects that come alive for the festival parade each evening. Rudolph’s Holly Jolly Christmas Light Parade consists of nine musical floats topped with large, bright characters and thousands of lights.
There are also two Broadway-style shows going on during the festival, It’s a Wonderful Life and A Dickens’ Christmas Carol. The casts take the audience back in time to retell a couple of holiday classics in a musical adaptation.
Some of the other popular Branson Christmas attractions include the shops at Jingle Bell Junction, the Tinker Junior’s Toy Shop, the Living Nativity scene, the singing Frontier Fa-La-La Follies, and Rudolph’s Christmas Town. Of course, stopping by Santa Claus Lane to tell Santa all your Christmas wishes is a must. Throughout the park a variety of special holiday treats can be found as well, such as hot apple dumplings, hot wassail, fruitcakes, and much more.
