A trip to Branson, Missouri doesn’t always mean dinner shows and nature hikes; you might be surprised to learn we have a couple of fun and exciting amusement parks in Branson for your entertainment pleasure! Silver Dollar City is the most well-known, but White Water Branson is a fun place to while away a summer day as well. Read on for more information on these two amazing Branson amusement parks!

Silver Dollar City

This nostalgic theme park originally opened in May of 1960, and is considered one of the United States’ most successful theme parks. Designed to give you an experience right out of the 1880s, it contains over 40 different rides - including the World’s Most Daring Wood Coaster and the Frisco Silver Dollar Line Steam Train. The park has been featured in soap operas, on morning news television, and even the Beverly Hillbillies visited the park on an episode in 1969. It’s also been featured in the book The Man Who Loved Clowns by June Rae Wood - Silver Dollar City has actually become a celebrity!

At Christmas time it is home to An Old Time Christmas Festival and features over 5 million twinkling lights; Good Morning America has added it to its Top 5 list of holiday lights; it’s DEFINITELY an event you shouldn’t miss, but then we think that you probably shouldn’t miss ANY of Silver Dollar City’s festivals! World-Fest in April, Bluegrass and BBQ in May, Star-Spangled summer in June and July, Southern Gospel Picnic the last week of August through September 5, or The National Harvest & Cowboy Festival held from mid-September through the end of October - all amazing festivals full of fun, and none should be missed! This Branson, Missouri theme park is an experience that should top the bucket list of all die hard amusement park visitors, and is a wonderful way to spend a day during your unforgettable Branson vacation!

White Water Branson

Summer in Branson can get kind of warm, so what better way is there to cool down than to spend a day riding the waves at this 13-acre water park? Of all the amusement parks near Branson, we think this can be the most fun! With over 2 million gallons of water and multiple rides, staying cool won’t be a problem! The KaPau Plummet is a 240-foot drop into cool waters that will really get your heart pumping, and the Night Water events, including Dive-in Movies, means the fun can continue long into the dark summer night! Shaded cabanas are available to rent, and come complete with Dish Satellite televisions; check out the White Water Branson website to discover the different Cabana packages available - there’s more than you might think!
